I remember playing by the pond when I was little, catching tadpoles, and taking care of them until they turned into frogs. Interestingly, one child at the workshop does exactly the same and loves it!
We shared our knowledge about metamorphosis and chatted about butterflies and frogs. We differentiated between metamorphosis and non-metamorphic changes such as a chameleon changing colour, or a snake shedding it’s skin.
Then we made and programmed our own tadpoles, froglets, and frogs! Prior to a race between frog stages, we hypothesised that the frog would win. We were right!
